Fort Hamilton Hospital
Fort Hamilton Hospital’s Intermediate Care Unit is a patient-focused 31-bed step down unit with a 4:1 patient to nurse ratio. IMC is a progressive care unit that serves critically ill cardiac, pulmonary, neuro, and renal patients with acute and chronic conditions. Patient care may include cardiac drips, s/p cardiac interventions (cardiac catherization, pacemaker, and loop recorders), stable tracheostomy/vent, dialysis, and stroke.
