The Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) maintains operational responsibility for the orthopedic services in the Operating room. Responsible for planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care to patients in all settings where nursing care is provided in collaboration with other health care providers. The CNM is accountable for the provision of safe patient care, compliance with department strategic objectives, participation in performance and practice improvement activities. The delivery of evidence based nursing care at Kettering Health Network reflects the philosophies, missions, vision and values of the organization and nursing department. He/she must possess the skills needed to staff and manage the operations in an efficient, productive and profitable manner with a focus on surgery volume growth. He/she must be competent in building and maintaining referrring physician relationships, customer satisfaction and service excellence. He/she must be skilled at building a strong and collaborative team to create a positive enviornmnet for our phyusicians and patients. This individual must be comfortable in long range planning, capital planning and building and managing operational budgets.
National certification by the end of 2nd year in position, CNOR preferred
