Responsible for the day to day operation of all network outpatient oncology physician clinics. Manages a team of 30+ Registered Nurses/Certified Medical Assistants, and Advanced Practice Providers, providing leadership, clinical practice guidelines, staff development, and evaluating patient services. This role is directly responsible for setting, maintaining and continually improving the operational flow of a cancer patient’s experience with all Oncology Physicians. The position demands a high level of interaction and responsibility to and for a multi-disciplinary physician group. The individual in the role has ultimate responsibility for the Oncology Access Center telephone triage program, accommodating over 600 patient telephone calls per day. Performs management functions related to HR activities such as hiring/firing, corrective actions, attendance, competencies and educational needs. Maintains the department finances, budget and productivity. Maintains a patient oriented, customer service environment.
