    Responsibilities & Requirements


     Assists by promoting/guiding the education of patients/families, of specialty. Participates in care by implementing an individualized educational plan for the patients/patient families related to the specialty. Act as a resource person for all patients of specialty and is a consultant/advisor for the nursing staff. Utilizing the nursing process, the RN during his or her specified work period is responsible for planning, implementation and evaluation of individualized nursing care to patients in all settings where nursing care is provide in collaboration with other health care providers. The RN is accountable for his/her own professional development and practice within the scope of care defined by law. Utilizing organizational resources, the RN acts as a patient advocate for the delivery of safe care including delegation of care and participation in performance and practice improvement activities. The delivery of nursing care at Fort Hamilton (KHN) reflects the philosophies, mission, vision and values of the organization and nursing departments.



    Current RN license for the State of Ohio

     BSN required. Will consider qualified candidates who are working towards BSN completion.

     Minimum of three (3) years if recent experience in specialty area of nursing

     Specialty credentials required within three (3) years.

    Inpatient and Outpatient Education- minimum of two (2) years of recent experience as an ostomy educator or patient teaching experience ET certification preferred, will consider employee working towards ET certification

    Current CPR certification

     Completion of annual corporate integrity training

    Maintains competencies & skills of specialty area of practice
